The Artistic Evolution of Marcel Barbeau
Born in Montreal, Canada, Marcel Barbeau was a multidisciplinary artist who engaged with various forms of abstraction and art techniques to express himself. Following the departure of his contemporaries to Paris and New York, Barbeau explored several paths, including small ink non-objective paintings, calligraphy, drawing, and collage. His practice eventually expanded to include Op Art and film techniques, as well as performance art that materialized through various media.
