John Le Capelain: A Jersey Painter of Misty Landscapes

John Le Capelain, born around 1812 in London and baptized there two days after his parents married, was a painter who gained renown for capturing the ethereal beauty of Jersey and Isle of Wight landscapes with his distinctive watercolor technique.
