The story of Carl August Henry Ericsson begins in Mikkeli, Finland. Born on 6 February 1898, he moves through the early decades of the twentieth century as a figure defined by movement between academic centers. His work exists within the collections of the Finnish National Gallery and the University of Helsinki, Department of Art History.
