His academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in design from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, a Master of Fine Arts from Université du Québec à Montréal, and studies at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine. Currently, he serves as a teacher at the University of Waterloo.
