li shurui is a chinese contemporary artist born in 1981 in chongqing, china. she is known for her abstract paintings that explore the relationship between perception and reality. li shurui studied at the sichuan fine arts institute in chongqing, where she received her bachelor of fine arts degree in 2004 and her master of fine arts degree in 2007. she has exhibited her work in galleries and museums around the world, including the ullens center for contemporary art in beijing, the museum of contemporary art in chengdu, and the museum of modern art in new york. li shurui currently lives and works in beijing.
