Her journey began not with clay, but with the fine arts; she initially enrolled at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest to study painting. However, her path was redirected by a

Influenced by her aunt’s collection of Hungarian peasant pottery, she transitioned from the canvas to the potter's wheel, undertaking an apprenticeship with Jakob Karapancsik.
