Early Life and Artistic Training Georges Vantongerloo entered the world in Antwerp, Belgium, on November 24, 1886. His early years were shaped by a profound talent that manifested itself through formal study. From 1905 to 1909, he sought to refine his vision at the Fine Art Academies in both Antwerp and Brussels. During this formative period, he moved through the disciplined halls of these institutions, learning the fundamental languag

When the Great War arrived, Georges Vantongerloo answered the call of duty, serving in the Belgian Army.
