A teenage wanderlust drives him toward the camera. In his early years, Peter Holm finds himself immersed in the technical rigors of Cambridge and Leicester College, where the darkroom becomes a laboratory for experimentation. He masters the chemistry of film and the precision of darkroom printing techniques. The world begins to shift through a fish-eye lens and the strange, altered spectrum of colour infrared.
The work captures the ordinary with an unexpected clarity. A swimming pool, an apartment building, or a single shadow stretching across a beach—these are the subjects that anchor his gaze.
