Thomas Demand: A Biography Early Life and Education Thomas Cyrill Demand, born in Munich, Germany in 1964, is a prominent German sculptor and photographer. He grew up in West Berlin during a period of significant political and cultural change. His early education laid the foundation for his later artistic explorations.
