gathie falk is a canadian painter and sculptor who has been active in the art world since the 1950s. she is best known for her large-scale, brightly coloured paintings that often feature everyday objects or scenes from daily life. in addition to painting, she also works with ceramics, installation, and performance art. falk's work has been exhibited widely in canada and internationally, and she has received numerous awards and honours throughout her career, including the audain prize for lifetime achievement in the visual arts in 2013.
