A Life in Düsseldorf
Joseph Schex was a German painter associated with the Düsseldorfer Malerschule. Born in Wesel, Germany, he began his formal training at the Königliche Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf, where he was admitted to the elementary class in 1835.
