tate University and later the Brooklyn Museum Art School, followed by time at the Art Institute of Chicago, laying a foundational artistic groundwork. However, it was the discovery of Bernard Leach’s *A Potter’s Book* that proved transformative. This seminal work ignited a passion for hand-thrown functional pottery, prompting Temple to seek an apprenticeship with Leach himself at St. Ives Pottery in Cornwall, England, beginning in 1960…
