As the son and pupil of Giovanni Andrea Biscaino, his early training was steeped in familial tradition, yet it was his subsequent entry into the workshop of Valerio Castello that would truly shape his burgeoning vision. In these formative years, one can observe a young artist navigating the transition from the clumsy immaturity of his first known works to a more sophisticated command of the medium.
His career, though remarkably short, was marked by an evolution toward a mature, personal style that sought to harmonize various masters of the era. While his early canvases, such as those depicting St Ferrando or the Death of Cleopatra, displayed a certain lack of color vibrancy and compositional balance, his later works revealed a much deeper mastery.
