He is currently Professor & Director, Institute of Intelligent Sensing & Motion Control, School of Automation, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), focusing on groundbreaking research into artificial pancreas control systems – a testament to his commitment to innovation beyond the realm of visual arts.- Early Influences: Shi’s fascination with movement and transformation stems from an early appreciation for classical Chinese calligraphy and sculpture.
