During this period, Isabey and Ciceri shared living quarters in the Pigalle neighborhood in Paris, where they were both influenced by their fellow residents: Théodore Rousseau, Jules Dupré, Narcisse Diaz, Johan Barthold Jongkind, and Jean-François Millet.
