A Life Rooted in the Mexican Landscape Herminio Feliciano Peña Aguilera, known simply as Feliciano Peña, was a painter whose life and work became inextricably linked to the rural heart of Mexico. Born in Silao, Guanajuato, in 1915, his early years were marked by a move to the Tlalpan borough of Mexico City in 1926.
