A Life of Many Hands Born in Rosice nad Labem, Czech Republic, in 1938, Milan Dušek lived a life defined by a remarkable variety of labors. Before the world knew him through his creative output, he moved through many different roles that shaped his perspective on the physical world. He worked as a locksmith, a member of the Border Guard, and a worker in a foundry, polishing castings with precision.
