Ardeshir Mohassess (also spelt Ardashir Mohasess, Persian: اردشير محصص, 9 September 1938 in Lahijan – 9 October 2008 in New York) was an Iranian illustrator, satirist, cartoonist and painter who resided in New York. He stands as a pivotal figure in the history of Iranian visual culture, recognized for his distinctive blend of meticulous detail and biting social commentary—a style that cemented his place among Iran’s most influential artists.

His mother, Sorur Mahkāma Mohassess, was a celebrated poet and educator, fostering his early fascination with storytelling and visual expression.
