Black lines cut through the middle, adding a sharp, structural tension to the soft bleeding of the hues. The colors do not sit on the surface like heavy paste; instead, they seem to live within the fibers of the fabric itself. This is the result of a staining technique, where thinned paint meets unprimed canvas, allowing the pigment to soak in and become one with the material. The edges of the rings vibrate against one another, creating a sense of movement that feels both steady and restless.
