Patron is a work by the artist Tilo Baumgärtel (Leipzig, Germany, 1972). Baumgärtel is mostly known for his facet as a painter. Painting has been the medium in which he has developed most of his artistic practice, influenced by the well-known Leipzig School. However, the artist has also explored different fields of plastic arts. His works, in which realism and illusion are elegantly mixed, are presented as snapshots that allude to broader and more dramatic narratives. More than stories, his dream scenes are invitations to the viewer’s imagination, an open invitation to interpret them.
