Mudec - Muzeul Culturilor
Portrait of a family and alleged workers with their potato crop, filmed outdoors in their field near Cusco. In the centre, presumably, Ezequiel Arce and his wife. Note a person of Afrodescent origin in the upper left of the image. The various family members and relatives are wearing work clothes and common clothes, mostly of Spanish origin: skirt or trousers with shirt, scarf, jacket, wide-brimmed hat and, in the case of the last man on the left, beret. By contrast, the sandals of the man in the middle in the second row and his poncho, as well as the pin-striped cape of the woman in front of him, are of pre-Hispanic origin and still survive in the clothing of the rural community. It must be noted that the two men in the front row wear leather/leather leggings, and are overall more elegantly dressed.
