This resulted in the exhibition English Cathedrals at the Hayward Gallery, London. His drawings of English cathedrals, including views of Canterbury Cathedral and Peterborough: Approaching the West Front, were acquired by the Tate Gallery in 1990.
His commissioned series also included the cathedrals of northern France. Other notable exhibitions included:
- The Jerusalem exhibition at James Hyman Gallery in 2011, inspired by William Blake's poem.
- A major retrospective at Flowers Gallery, London, in 2005.
