The pale limestone holds a quiet weight, its surface rough and uneven under the light. Each piece of stone seems to interlock like a mechanical device or an organic obelisk, creating a sense of architectural strength. There is no smooth skin here, only the tactile reality of the sculptor’s hand-carving process and the cool, beige grain of the mineral.
The eyes find themselves tracing lines that move across the composition in multiple directions at once. This technique breaks the single viewpoint, forcing a movement of the gaze that mimics the way we perceive depth and volume in space.
