At seven years old, he discovered solace in playing bass guitar and singing hymns in his Baptist church in Akron, Ohio—a formative experience that instilled within him an unwavering belief in music's ability to nurture the soul. This initial passion blossomed into a dedication to honing his craft, progressing from performing with local bands at twelve to captivating audiences in nightclubs and community events by fifteen. His military service further broadened his horizons, exposing him to diverse cultures and musical traditions.
