Dandelion (蒲公英) is the representative work of Wu Fan, which earned the golden medal of woodcut art in Leipzig Book Fair, 1959. The theme came from the ordinary life but expressed the true meaning of life in details, which also conveys the common affection existed in ordinary people. In the picture, the composition of the figure, props and seals is in scalene triangle. The artist used techniques of Water Woodblock Print and overdying to create a girl who is blowing on the dandelion, which may evoke the memory of people’s own childhood.
