Untitled

Dico Kremer, born in Curitiba in 1947, was exposed to the image at Santa Maria School, through photography classes, and at Cine Clube, which promoted discussions about films after the sessions. It was there that the student found himself seduced by the look. He later went on to study law for three years, but abandoned the course to devote himself to the image. He worked at the extinct TV Paraná and at the Prisma photographic studio, where he deepened his knowledge of photography. In 1972, he founded “Zap Fotografias”, the first studio in Curitiba dedicated exclusively to advertising photography, having as clients renowned companies in the Paraná scenario. Through this work, he was awarded, in 1986, at the Prêmio Colunistas de Publicidade (Advertising Columnists Award), in São Paulo. In 2012, he held his first exhibition, at the Public Library of Paraná, called “Convivência” (Coexistence), showing photographs of his coexistence with the poet Paulo Leminski – testimony of the versatility of the photographer who, in addition to advertising photos, is also dedicated to studio photos, urban landscapes and others.
