Early Life and Education Born: November 22, 1895, in Waterville, Minnesota Parents: Arthur Clark Dehn (father) and Emilie Haas Dehn (mother), both socialists. Early artistic talent evident from the age of six. Graduated as valedictorian from Waterville High School in 1914.
