In the early 1990s, Vogt altered his technique, moving away from gestural brushstrokes toward a uniform application of color. This period was characterized by a near-photorealistic clarity, particularly in monumental, hairless heads focused on the face. In his final years, he produced portraits of women and children, as well as landscapes, often depicting mountains.
